Audrey O'Brien

Glishanna Tibetan Spaniels came into being in the early 90`s.  I had been involved in dogs-mostly showing-since 1984 when I got my first show-dog, a golden retriever named Hudson. The following year I got my first Tibetan Spaniel bitch, Jessie-Avigdor Victoria.  However it wasn't until July 91 that the first Glishanna litter was born.

My first Irish Champion was Glishanna Uinseann born in 92 from a Milbethan bitch.  He now resides in Sweden where he is also a champion.  He produced 5 Irish Champions and 1 Swedish Champ. My current line descends from my foundation bitch Ir and Int Ch Avigdor Olympia.

My current winners are her son Ch Glishanna Thackaray Binks and her grand-daughters Ch Glishanna Babette and Glishanna Dream-Catcher. Hopefully this year will see great-grandchildren from this remarkable little bitch.

In the past I have shown Lhasa Apsos and bred Shih-Tzus and Boxers but my one true love is the Tibetan Spaniel. As I am often wont to say, once you own a Tibby you will always own one, as they have a way of getting under your skin like no other breed.
To date I have made up 5 Irish Champions and one International Ch.Two more are waiting on just one CACIB ticket to have their International title. I have prided myself on breeding /owning/and showing the first Tibby parti-colour(shaded sable/white) Champion bitch in 14 years(Ch Glishanna Babette).

My aim is to maintain a very high standard in the confirmation of the Tibetan Spaniel and indeed improve upon it where I can. As temperament is of the utmost importance in any dog, I only breed from those with amicable and sound disposition. While attractiveness and showability are very important to me, most of my puppies go to pet homes - so this makes it even more imperative that any boys or girls that leave my home are of the highest standard temperament wise and indeed health wise.

I do NOT sell for breeding purposes.
