As poop scoop week draws to a close we have made some progress behind the scenes to get this website "live".

Slightly ahead of schedule we are now redirecting visitors from our previous site to this one.  So if you unexpectedly find yourself in this distinctly orange corner of the world wide web for the first time - then Welcome to Glishanna.Org!!

I noticed that in the UK it is National Poop Scoop Week starting on 26th July.  What a great idea.  Although to be honest I didn't realise that there was much of a problem in the UK.  Am I wrong?

Perhaps we could benefit from having such a week in Ireland.

Read about it HERE

Notice that they feel the need to explain what "Grab It, Bag It, Bin It" actually means and give instructions. Do they really think there are people out there who don't scoop the poop because they don't know how to - rather than out of pure laziness?!?!

Welcome to the Glishanna website.

You have done well to find us, as the site is not really live yet.  We are hoping to have everything in place for a launch party on 1st August. Keep popping by until then though to see how we are getting on.

While you are here, please drop us a line on the guestbook.  Its always good to hear from people.

There has been a lot to do moving to a new home in the big world that is the internet!  It is also been quite difficult to make the time to add content with a busy family life, some demanding dogs and a hectic social life!  An effort will be made to keep this site relevant and up-to-date!

I will add some detail of the July shows shortly, as well as looking ahead to August.

In the meantime take a look at this, which I came across and found hilarious!  See how many Pugs you can spot.  Quite a few I have to say.  They seem to lend themselves well to the fashion conscious dog owner! Don't just stop at the first page... this really goes on and on.  Some of them have made a real effort.  Perhaps we should contribute!

On a more serious note you may have noticed that the Welsh Assembly has modified the law to improve standards of so-called puppy farming in Wales.  It has cetainly featured on the Dog News section on this site in the last week or so.  I am sure this is a move that all dog lovers will welcome.  Let's hope that other official bodies take similar action soon.  You can read a bit more about it HERE.

Finally for now, take a look at this.  Not something that my Tibetans do much of but very impressive nonetheless.
